HEAVEN AND HELL: U.S. Tour Dates To Be Announced On Monday?

March 2, 2007

Jim Koplik, president of Jim Koplik Presents, reportedly revealed during his "Jim Koplik Rock Concert Report" segment on the Hartford radio station WCCC earlier today that a formal announcement will be made on Monday (March 5) revealing the dates for the U.S. leg of HEAVEN AND HELL's North American tour. He also stated that the Connecticut date will take place mid-May and that tickets will go on sale within the next 10 days. Meanwhile, WZZO 95.1 — which broadcasts out of Allentown, Pennsylvania — is reporting that the Pennsylvania stop on the tour will also take place in May and that tickets for the concert will go on sale on Friday, March 9.

HEAVEN AND HELL's only announced U.S. concert so far is scheduled for March 30 at the Radio City Music Hall (capacity: 6,000) in New York City. Tickets for that show officially sold out approximately 45 minutes after tickets went on sale on January 26.

As previously reported, HEAVEN AND HELL will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Wednesday, April 11. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). HEAVEN AND HELL will kick off a world tour with 11 Canadian dates beginning March 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wrapping up March 28 in Ottawa, with opening acts MEGADETH and DOWN. Additional U.S. dates will come later in the year.

The shows are expected to only feature material from Dio's era with BLACK SABBATH, including three new songs that were recorded for the upcoming anthology "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years" that's due April 3.
