HEADHUNTER, the reunited German band featuring DESTRUCTION frontman Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer, will have its trio of albums originally issued during Schmier's years away from DESTRUCTION — "Parody of Life" (1990), "A Bizarre Gardening Accident" (1992), and "Rebirth" (1994) — re-released on September 7 via AFM Records. "All the albums will be 'nice-price edition,' so complain at your local dealer if the CDs don't have the special price!" says Schmier. The original HEADHUNTER lineup — Schmier (vocals, bass), Uwe Hoffman (Schmuddel) (guitar, backing vocals) and Jörg Michael (STRATOVARIUS) — recently spent time in the recording studio laying down tracks for a new album, tentatively due in 2008.
