HANGAR 18 To Headline 1st Annual BORDERLAND METALFEST

November 19, 2003

HANGAR 18, the MEGADETH tribute band featuring formerNEW EDEN/SINERGY bassist Melanie Sisneros, will be performing at the 1st Annual Borderland Metalfest in El Paso, Texas on Saturday, November 22.

The festival will be a "one-of-a-kind" event in the El Paso area. Co-headlining the Metalfest will be Southern California's DREAMS OF DAMNATION, featuring guitarist Jim Durkin, formerly of DARK ANGEL. HANGAR 18's set will include a number of songs from "Killing Is My Business"-era to "Countdown to Extinction"-era MEGADETH. HANGAR 18's frontman William (Fro Mustaine) Rustrum states, "This Metalfest is a very exciting and unique opportunity for us. It is a rare occasion for a tribute band to headline a Metalfest and bring people the music of the greatest most significant heavy metal band that ever existed. The metalheads who show up are in for a real treat. They will get an hour and a half of the best music ever produced by MEGADETH, which includes songs that haven't been performed by MEGADETH in years!"

The Borderland Metalfest will include tattoo artists, body piercing, food, alcohol, and local vendors. Other bands performing are AK+SYNDICATE, INTAKE, and many others. It will be a day-long event culminating in the first ever appearance of HANGAR 18 in El Paso.
