HAMMERFALL Singer Sets U.S. Release Date For Solo Debut

HAMMERFALL singer Joacim Cans has set a May 11 North American release date through Sanctuary/Noise Records for his solo debut, "Beyond the Gates". Released under the moniker CANS, "Beyond the Gates" was recorded between November 2003 and February 2004 at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden, Frankie's Hideaway in the U.S. and House of Music Studios in Germany, and was mixed and mastered at Twilight Studios in Germany. The recording lineup on the CD was as follows: Cans (vocals),Mat Sinner (bass, SINNER),"Metal" Mike Chlasciak (guitars, ex-HALFORD, PAINMUSEUM),Stefan Elmgren (guitars, HAMMERFALL) and Mark Zonder (drums, FATES WARNING). As previously reported, Cans will hold a release party for "Beyond the Gates" on Saturday, May 8 at the Metallterrassen Club in Gothenburg, Sweden. Joacim will act as DJ, and the evening will also include a performance by the "all-star" band METAL MONARCHS, featuring HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak as well as a number of other local metal musicians.
