HAMMERFALL: New Album Track Listing Revealed

September 25, 2004

HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"I'm pleased to see the studio diary I have been writing is to everyone's liking! That makes it much more fun to continue, even though I most likely would have done it anyway. These records are a ton of fun to read years from now, and, being a statistics buff, I find great value in things like this. And I am glad you seem to, as well! Another positive note is that the forum is well-visited and keeps growing day by day. We recently broke the thousand registered member barrier in just a few weeks, so I see the demand for it was great.

"We are now in the end phase of week three of the recordings, and the skeleton of drums and bass that Anders [Johansson] and Magnus [Rosén] have recorded are now getting muscles and tendons as well, in the form of guitars and vocals. I am extremely happy with how things are progressing so far, the drums sound is heavier than ever and the guitars are like razors! [Producer] Charlie [Bauernfeind] has really managed to get the best out of the equipment we brought, and the drum room is absolutely fantastic! I am extatic! Plus, he has a great way of making us perform to the absolute best of our abilities, which is an often-overlooked trait. We are trying to make the album sound raw and alive, almost organic. So far, the energy in the music is great!

"For those of you who are too lazy to read the diaries and put together the tracklist for the album, here are the titles of all ten songs (in no particular order):

01. Born to Rule
02. Hammer of Justice
03. The Templar Flame
04. Take the Black
05. Fury of the Wild
06. Secrets
07. Never, Ever
08. Blood Bound
09. Imperial
10. Knights of the 21st Century

"As I have mentioned before, the single will be out on January 31st (still haven't decided which song),and the full length album on March 7th (most of Europe),8th (U.S.A.) and 9th (Sweden). Not sure how frequent the news update is going to be in the next couple of weeks, but the diaries should keep you informed of what's going on. Keep the Templar Flame burning!"
