HAGAR On EDDIE VAN HALEN: We're 'Not As Friendly As I Would've Wanted To Be'

May 2, 2005

According to ABC ePrep, VAN HALEN singer Sammy Hagar says that while he and guitarist Eddie Van Halen patched up the rift between them, they're "not as friendly as I would've wanted to be." Still, as Hagar told the New York Daily News, the members of VAN HALEN got along well on their reunion tour last year "until the end, when we were getting on each other's nerves. There was no real leader, so we started doing the same show every night. There was no spontaneity, and that got to me." That's not likely to be the case with Hagar's current tour with his band THE WABOS. Hagar says his show will be classic Hagar, "but I'm going to add a few new things and the show will be cooking."

Hagar is friends with celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, and he says he's going to appear on Lagasse's Food Network show on May 17.

Here are Hagar's tour dates, according to Pollstar:

May 06 - Atlantic City, NJ @ Borgata Hotel/Casino
May 07 - Mashantucket, CT @ Foxwoods Casino
May 10 - Green Bay, WI @ Oneida Casino
May 12 - Detroit, MI @ Fox Theatre
May 13 - Rosemont, IL @ Rosemont Theatre
May 14 - Maryland Heights, MO @ UMB Bank Pavilion
Aug. 13 - Lake Tahoe, NV @ Harrah's Tahoe
