GURD Seek Photo Submissions For New Album Cover
Switzerland's GURD, the band formed out of the ashes of the power-thrash metal legends POLTERGEIST, have completed work on their eighth album, "Bang!", at the Little Creek studio for a late spring release. The band have launched a contest via their official web site whereby fans can submit a photo to be used as the cover of the upcoming CD. "Suitable to the title of the album, the picture should show a headbanger in action," the group write in a press release. "All photos can be uploaded on www.gurd.net (more than one picture per person allowed). There is a form located on the news site including upload instructions and additional information about size and resolution. The best headbanger picture among all participations will be published as cover. The winner photographer will get a free copy of the new album, a shirt and a surprise goodie."
As previously reported, rough-mix versions of the new GURD tracks "The Grand Deception" and the projected title track, "Bang!", are available for listening at this location.
