GUNS N' ROSES In Talks To Play Germany's ROCK AM RING Festival

November 28, 2003

According to www.gunsnroses.de, the organizers of Germany's Rock Am Ring festival are trying to get GUNS N' ROSES to headline next year's event, which is scheduled to take place next June in Nürnberg.

As previously reported, GUNS N' ROSES have been confirmed to headline the Rock in Rio-Lisbon Festival in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 30, the second night of the five-day event. This outing will mark the first live appearance by the Axl Rose-led band since the plug was pulled on the group's disastrous "Chinese Democracy" tour last December with 13 dates remaining. That trek was marked by rioting in Vancouver and Philadelphia, when the band failed to take the stage.

In other news, the European release date of the DVD editions of the separate 1992 home videos "Use Your Illusion I" and "Use Your Illusion II: World Tour - 1992 in Tokyo" has been pushed back to early 2004 due to "production problems." The 1998 home video "Welcome to the Videos" will still be released on December 15.
