GUNS N' ROSES Bassist To Record New Material
GUNS N' ROSES bassist Tommy Stinson is in the process of writing material for a b-side he will be putting out with a single and a video early next year, according to a posting on his web site. In addition, he is planning on embarking on a tour of the U.K. and U.S. in January/February. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
Stinson will be touring in support of his solo debut, "Village Gorilla Head", which was released last July through Sanctuary Records. The founding REPLACEMENTS member recorded the material for the set in a Los Angeles studio owned by Charles Thompson (a.k.a. Frank Black) with contributions from A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Josh Freese, his brother Jason Freese on saxophone, CATHOLICS guitarist Dave Philips, and GN'R guitarist Richard Fortus and keyboardist Dizzy Reed.
