June 4, 2003

Bassist Kevin Young has announced his decision to leave 40 GRIT effective immediately. "The fire is no longer within me," Young said in an official statement. "I am totally proud of 40 GRIT and what we've done, and I will without a doubt give you all my total support."

The San Francisco Bay Area band, who recently issued their sophomore album, "Nothing To Remember", through Metal Blade Records, are currently looking for a bass player. All applicants must have an open-mind, pro gear, pro attitude and MUST be able to tour. For an audition, e-mail [email protected].

In other news, 40 GRIT's European tour scheduled to kick off Aug. 23 in Germany has been postponed. More details will be made available soon.
