GRIND BASTARD: '200grind' EP Out Now
Former FUNEBRARUM/CYBER CHRIST drummer Brian Jimenez, ex-CYBER CHRIST guitarist Mike Stecz, ANNUNAKI vocalist Tony Stanziano, and guitarist Marcus Acosta have started a new project named GRIND BASTARD. The band recently released a debut EP entitled "200grind (Two Thousand and Grind)".
GRIND BASTARD is:
Mike Stecz - Vocals
Marcus Acosta - Guitar
Tony Stanziano - Bass
Brian Jimenez - Drums
Commented the band, "We just put out our debut EP, '200grind', which contains three songs that sum up our sound pretty well. Most of the material we've written in the past few months is simple, old-school grindcore in the vein of NAPALM DEATH, EXTREME NOISE TERROR, ASSUCK, and so on, mixed with old-school New York hardcore like CRO-MAGS and GORILLA BISCUITS.
"We stole our name from the BENEDICTION album; we're paying tribute to what we grew up on. We're not reinventing the wheel, because so many bands try to do that and fail."
