GRIFFIN Announce New Singer

May 24, 2004

Norwegian metal act GRIFFIN have announced the addition of female singer Ida Hawkland to the group's ranks.

"We are happy to announce that the auditions are over, and that we have
found a killer front figure to replace Pete [Beck]!!" the band write on the web site. "First of all, we would like to thank all of you who showed interest in the band by sending in demos and coming to the auditions. We were actually a bit shocked to see how many that actually wanted to try out. We've had people from all over Norway, and even a couple from the U.S that have contacted us, and there has been A LOT of great candidates!! There is however no doubt in our minds that we have made the one and only right decision, and those of you who came to our last show already know her, as she was the one who helped us out when Pete ended up in the hospital just a week before our gig.. She is a great singer, an awesome performer and truly a pleasure to work with."
