GREG LEON Returns To Take Care Of 'Unfinished Business'

March 29, 2005

Southern California guitar legend Greg Leon (ex-DOKKEN, QUIET RIOT) has just issued his first album since 1997's "Wishing Well", appropriately titled "Unfinished Business", while also reviving his old band moniker, THE GREG LEON INVASION.

The original INVASION, formed out of the ashes of SUITE 19, featuring a pre-MÖTLEY CRÜE Tommy Lee on drums, was one of the biggest draws on the L.A. scene in the early '80s and during the band's various incarnations saw musicians such as Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING),Jake E. Lee (OZZY OSBOURNE, BADLANDS),Jeroen "Jeronimo" Bos (BODINE),and Carl Elizondo (SIN, JAG WIRE) pass through its ranks. The group recorded a now highly collectable 7" single, "Every Time" b/w "Stay With Me Tonight", with Vera on bass in 1983, followed by a self-titled full-length album, released through Maywood, CA-based cult label Azra Records (JAG PANZER, VIXEN, OVERKILL, DARK ANGEL) in 1984.

Leon eventually sold the rights to the INVASION name to former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent before continuing on with several outfits, including ROUGH CUTT, FEVER, whose signature song appears on "Unfinished Business", MARSHALL LAW and WISHING WELL. The 2005 INVASION line-up consists of Greg Leon (guitar/vocals),George Roelke (bass),formerly with BRAND NEW DAY and heralded '80s East Coast outfit SHOUT (alongside present-day LEGS DIAMOND vocalist John Levesque),and drummer Greg Stevens.

The "Unfinished Business" track listing reads as follows:
