GREEN CARNATION Postpone Mexican Tour

GREEN CARNATION, the Norwegian band featuring Tchort (a.k.a. Terje Vik Schei; BLOOD RED THRONE, ex-EMPEROR, SATYRICON, EINHERJER),have postponed their previously announced Mexican tour.

"After discussion with the promotor, GREEN CARNATION have agreed to postpone the possible Mexico tour this autumn, with the band still working to confirm shows in Europe later in 2005," reads a posting on the group's web site.

Commented singer Kjetil Nordhus: "We have to accept there are difficult times economically in Mexico these days, and the promotor said they needed to wait in order to give us the tour they want to offer us. It's still a chance that we can do the tour this year, but probably we'll have to wait until after the New Year."

Meanwhile work is in progress for more European gigs during the autunm and early winter.

"We are very close to confirming shows both in Norway and in other European countries later this year," said Nordhus. "But there are still some details to be sorted out."

GREEN CARNATION are already confirmed for the ProgPower Europe (Holland) and The Day of the Equinox (Canada) festivals this year. They will also perform several headlining shows in Norway and Denmark.

GREEN CARNATION fulfilled their contractual obligations to Season of Mist with their fourth release, "The Quiet Offspring", which came out earlier this year. Tchort recently finished writing the material for the second part of the "The Chronicles of Doom" trilogy (the first part of the trilogy is better known as "Light of Day, Day of Darkness") and is currently shopping around for a new record deal.
