Greece's KINETIC Parts Ways With Singer, Announces Replacement
Greek death metal act KINETIC has parted ways with female vocalist Mina Giannopoulou due to "musical differences." Replacing her in the band's current lineup is Margaret Staikou. "This means that the recordings for our new CD, 'Corrosion', will be delayed for a little longer, as the new member has to process the new material and be in band spirit," vocalist/bassist Savvas Betinis said in a statement. "There is a new schedule for the CD's release and that's September 2007."
"Corrosion" will be released through Burning Star Records. The band's last effort, "The Chains That Bind Us", came out in 2004 via Sleaszy Rider Records.
