GORGOROTH Bassist Schedules NAMM Appearance

January 10, 2008

King ov Hell (real name: Tom Cato Visnes) — bassist/composer of GORGOROTH, SAHG, I, JOTUNSPOR — will travel to the Los Angeles area next week for several relevant matters concerning GORGOROTH, his partnership with Peavey and Coffin Case and his upcoming band with Rob Caggiano (ANTHRAX). During his visit he will make an appearance at the Peavey booth at the NAMM convention in Anaheim along with other artists on the Peavey roster. King will be appearing on Friday, January 18 at 5 p.m.

Important: The NAMM show is **NOT** open to the public. The only attendees are NAMM member companies and their invited guests.

The Gaahl-fronted version of GORGOROTH includes King ov Hell on bass, Nick Barker (ex-DIMMU BORGIR, CRADLE OF FILTH) on drums, and Teloch (NIDINGR, UMORAL, 1349) and Sykelig on guitars.

Sweden's Regain Records issued a press release last month stating that it would continue its co-operation with the band's original member Infernus with a new lineup. Regain Records "recognizes Infernus as the rightful owner of the bands name, logo and trademark, and is prepared to take any legal steps necessary to prevent any third part from exploiting it, artistically and commercially," the label said.

René Ackermann of Contraband Candy conducted an interview with King Ov Hell and Gaahl during the UK leg of the group's recently completed European tour. Topics include new drummers, the band's upcoming live album, their legendary Polish gig in Krakow and talks of staging another blasphemous gig in the future. Watch the 10-minute chat below.
