GODSMACK To Support METALLICA In Europe

GODSMACK have been officially confirmed as the opening band for METALLICA on their upcoming European tour. The band were previously scheduled to open for OZZY OSBOURNE on his European trek, but ended up pulling out of the tour — as well as their own headlining dates on the continent — due to unspecified "scheduling conflicts."

GODSMACK will issue an eight-song acoustic album, titled "The Other Side", on November 18 through Republic/Universal Records. The CD will feature four new songs and four unplugged versions of album cuts. Two of the previously unreleased tracks, "Running Blind" and "Voices", are old songs GODSMACK frontman Sully Erna wrote but never recorded, one will be by DROPBOX, a band Erna recently signed to Universal, and one will be a collaboration between DROPBOX and Erna.
