GODS OF FIRE Commence Work On Debut Album

April 27, 2004

New York City-based "epic metal" band GODS OF FIRE are currently in the studio recording their debut album with legendary producer Wharton Tiers (HELMET, BIOHAZARD, WHITE ZOMBIE) for a late summer release through an as-yet-undetermined label.

In existence since 2001, GODS OF FIRE "have become one of New York City's most exciting true metal shows, headlining clubs and opening for such bands as DEATH ANGEL, FOZZY, GILBY CLARKE and FASTER PUSSYCAT," according to an official press release. "Their live reputation has been forged by combining epic metal songwriting with costume changes, outrageous performances, and female backup dancers/singers known as the 'Fire-ettes.' The album, tentatively entitled 'Wrath Of The Gods', features the standard GODS OF FIRE double guitar harmonies, syncopated riffs, and operatic vocals with ambitious vocal harmonies, lush keyboards, and acoustic guitars." A tour is planned to coincide with the release late summer/early fall 2004.
