GOD FORBID Enter Studio May 1; Headlining Tour Set For April

January 14, 2005

GOD FORBID are currently hard at work writing material for their highly anticipated new album, "IV: Constitution Of Treason", set for a fall release. The group will enter the studio on May 1 to begin recording the follow-up to the critically acclaimed "Gone Forever", which garnered mainstream praise and helped expose them to a whole new audience. GOD FORBID recently wrapped up a massive European tour alongside MACHINE HEAD and CALIBAN before closing out the year back in America on the Stillborn Festival with HATEBREED and AGNOSTIC FRONT, among others.

Dallas Coyle (guitars) checks in with the following report: "What's up everyone?! Here I am to let you in on the shenanigans and the rock. We have a bunch of stuff going on in the next couple months. Right now, we've just confirmed a tsunami relief show on Jan. 20th at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square (NYC). Our friends THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN are also playing. It's a special day because Virgin is having bands play on this day all across the country, and we're very happy to be a part of it. We also just found out we're going to be part of a 'Uranium' special called 'Future Headliners'. It airs in mid- February, and they will be letting you all know how we're doing it in 2005.

"Speaking of headlining, we are currently booking our first-ever headline tour for the month of April, our first tour since the infamous Ozzfest. It's only going to be four weeks, and we're looking to have a really cool and heavy lineup. After we finish the tour we're going into the studio on May 1st to start tracking the next record 'IV: Constitution Of Treason'. So far the material we have is very different from what we have written before and the band is very excited about it. As Ron Burgundy would say, 'It's the balls.' Keep it classy Forbids."
