GOD FORBID Debuts New Video; Prepares To Shoot First DVD

February 7, 2007

New Jersey's GOD FORBID is more than half way through their Revolver-sponsored "Chains of Humanity Tour" that also features extreme metal titans GOATWHORE, MNEMIC, ARSIS and BYZANTINE. This tour is GOD FORBID's first headlining run in support of their latest acclaimed album, "IV: Constitution of Treason", and their new video from that release, "Chains of Humanity", is set to make its "Headbanger's Ball" debut on MTV2 this Saturday, February 10 at 10:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. PST. The clip was edited by David Brodsky (DIECAST, GWAR, THE RED CHORD) and focuses on the group’s diehard fanbase. If you can't wait to see it, click here to check it out now.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) checks in with the following report: “It's more than half way through the tour, and it's been a fucking blast! This is our first real headline tour in almost two years, and we've been off the road since October, so we had to get our legs underneath us for the first couple weeks. Trying to fit four albums and an EP's worth of material into an hour and 10 minutes is crazy, but I think we put together an awesome set.

"I definitely have to give props to all of the bands on the tour. Everyone has brought their A-game and has been killing it nightly. I also certainly want to give thanks and appreciation to every single person who has attended this tour. The crowds have been so good to us. The highlights for me have definitely been Connecticut, New Hampshire, Chicago, Louisville, Minneapolis, Kansas, Seattle, Hollywood, Phoenix, San Antonio and Atlanta. I'm sure we'll have many more good ones to go. I also wanted to let everyone know that we will be filming our hometown show at Starland Ballroom on Feb. 18th for our first DVD. If you want to be part of history, make sure you buy your tickets soon. It's going to be a very special night."
