GENETIC WISDOM To Reunite For EINDHOVEN METAL MEETING Performance

September 2, 2009

The 1994 "Humanity On Parole" lineup of the Dutch groove-metal outfit GENETIC WISDOM will reunite to perform at the Eindhoven Metal Meeting on December 19 at the Effenaar in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Commented vocalist Michel Lucarelli; "We are stoked about this! It was asked before and we always politely declined for some reason but when Eindhoven Metal Meeting asked us to be part, it all seemed right to get back together. Especially in Eindhoven, we had our best shows in that area back then."

Hailing from the Eastern part of The Netherlands, the "powercore" five-piece is part of an important wave of heavy bands originating from the area at the end of the Eighties onto the mid-Nineties. PESTILENCE, SACROSANCT, IMPERIUM and many other acts are on the family tree.

GENETIC WISDOM released its first album, "The Fear Dimension", in 1993. It also marked the first release on the then-newly-launched Mascot Records (now home to such bands as VOLBEAT, PESTILENCE and MASTERS OF REALITY among many others). It was the second album, "Humanity on Parole" (Mascot, 1994),however, that really put the band on the map. Powercore was born, defining a musical style that was best described as hardcore meets thrash, BIOHAZARD meets PANTERA.

GENETIC WISDOM took part in a massive live campaign, sharing the stage and touring with the likes of MOTÖRHEAD, GRIP INC., GOREFEST, B-THONG, DEAD HEAD, VICIOUS RUMORS, ENTOMBED and many more before splitting up in 1997.

GENETIC WISDOM will perform the "Humanity on Parole" album in its entirely at Eindhoven Metal Meeting.

The band's lineup for the concert will be as follows:

Michel Lucarelli - Vocals
Peter Slootbeek - Lead guitars
Ralph Roelvink - Rhythm guitars
Ronny Scholten - drums
Gerrit Knol - Bass
