March 23, 2008

Stockholm, Sweden-based rockers GEMINI FIVE will release their third album, "Sex Drugs Anarchy", on April 25. The CD was produced by bandmembers Hot Rod and Tin Star and was recorded and mixed at the Stappenwolf Studio in Stockholm, Sweden between October 2007 and January 2008. Guest musicians on the album include CRASHDIET's Martin Sweet (lead guitar on three tracks and backing vocals),Peter London (backing vocals) and Eric Young (backing vocals); and Marcus Jidell of Danish/Swedish hard rockers ROYAL HUNT (lead guitar on three tracks). Kory Clarke (WARRIOR SOUL, SPACE AGE PLAYBOYS) co-wrote the lyrics on four tracks. The band's new single, "Scream 4 Me", will be released on March 28 and will be available for purchase as an online download.

"Sex Drugs Anarchy" features 11 songs, including the title track, "Scream 4 Me", "Blood On The Bricks", "I Am Hollow", "All Pistols" and "Lay Your Money Down".

Commented bassist/vocalist Hot Rod, "This is a huge step to finally have it your AND our way. No compromises whatsoever! Street-gutter-metal-sleaze. Our strength has always been our explosive live performances! By this album there is no gap between of how we deliver either way. The energy on this album is something you can touch and a sensation you can't deny. We're the defenders of the raw and sleazy hard rock, which has always been cool!!!"

GEMINI FIVE recently announced the addition of guitarist Dany "Dee Dee" Douglas to the group's ranks. According to the band, "Young-blooded Dee Dee will certainly bring some lixx, shredding, mind-blowing moves. All this with the looks that kill! He's all fresh with an open mind to the whole scene which we think will suit the band more that perfect at this point. Native of the Swedish small town Karlstad. And good friends with our pal and stand-in Cat (DEATHSTARS). Actually, it was Cat that first brought Dee Dee to our attention."

GEMINI FIVE will celebrate the release of "Sex Drugs Anarchy" with a hometown performance on March 28 at Crazy Nights.

The band previously released two full-length albums: "Babylon Rockets" (2003) and "Black:Anthem" (2005).
