GALACTIC COWBOYS To Reunite For One-Off Hometown Concert

June 10, 2013

Former Geffen /Metal Blade recording artist GALACTIC COWBOYS will reunite for a (nearly) 25-year reunion concert on September 13 at Acadia Bar and Grill in Houston, Texas, hosted by Lone Star Metal, a Texas-based webzine and promotions company. The original lineup of Monty Colvin, Dane Sonnier, Alan Doss and Ben Huggins has agreed to reform for a special one-off show in the group's hometown.

GALACTIC COWBOYS formed in 1989 by Colvin, Sonnier, Doss and Huggins and took the Texas music scene by storm, which in turn caught the eye of Geffen Records. 2014 marks their 25th anniversary as a band and 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the release of their sophomore album, "Space In Your Face".

GALACTIC COWBOYS has been anything but predictable and decided a preemptive strike was necessary. Thus, the reunion show was created in true GALACTIC COWBOYS' tongue-in-cheek fashion.

"We are super excited to have the honor of hosting GALACTIC COWBOYS this September at Acadia," said Rusty Conner, founder and owner of Lone Star Metal. "I've been a huge fan of the band from almost the beginning, and to be able to pull this reunion off is an enormous accomplishment for myself and Lone Star Metal."

"Come see the original line-up of GALACTIC COWBOYS doing stuff off our first two albums," said Colvin. "We are looking forward to crushing everyone's skull!"

Tickets can be purchased at this location.
