Formed in the autumn of 1994 by guitarist Claudio Alcara (STROSZEK, AERE AETERNUS, MACABRE OMEN),FROSTMOON ECLIPSE, a band that mixes melodic acoustics with old-school black metal, has had a particularly busy year in terms of output, with two recently released limited editions. "The Legacy" CD, on God Is Myth Records, is specially packaged in a DVD case designed to look like a weathered old leather-bound book, and contains tracks taken from hard to find and limited-edition MCDs and EPs, and includes previously unreleased material and live tracks recorded in Verona in 2008. The band also released "I Am Providence", which makes up Volume VI of the very limited edition series dedicated to writer H.P. Lovecraft. The series is unusually made up of individual albums featuring one band on each album, with each album limited to 100 copies of specially packaged 3" CD-Rs. Additionally, the band also contributed a track to the VON tribute "Sacrifice at the Altar of the Satanic Blood Angel".
