FOZZY: U.K., Ireland Tour Dates Announced

FOZZY — the band featuring WWE wrestling superstar Chris Jericho and STUCK MOJO mastermind Rich "The Duke" Ward — has scheduled the following dates in the U.K. and Ireland:

Oct. 10 - Cardiff, UK - Millennium Hall
Oct. 11 - Sheffield, UK - Corporation
Oct. 13 - Edinburgh, UK - Studio 24
Oct. 14 - Belfast, Ireland - Spring and Airbreak
Oct. 15 - Dublin, Ireland - Button Factory
Oct. 16 - Manchester, UK - Club Academy 3
Oct. 17 - Leicster, UK - Leicster Academy
Oct. 18 - Norwich, UK - Waterfront
Oct. 19 - Southampton, UK - Taylors
Oct. 20 - Yeovil, UK - The Orange

In other news, FOZZY will be release a new video on Wednesday, July 21, filmed during the band's May 2010 U.K. tour.

Fan-filmed video footage of FOZZY performing a cover version of DIO's "Stand Up And Shout" as a tribute to legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio on May 22, 2010 at New York New York in Chesterfield, Michigan can be viewed below.

Shortly after Ronnie James Dio's passing on May 16 from stomach cancer, FOZZY singer and WWE world wrestling champion Chris Jericho, posted a message on his Twitter account in which he referred to Dio as "a God amongst singers and a true gentleman." He added, "Thank you for always being so nice to me. You are the King of Rock and Roll."

FOZZY's new album, "Chasing The Grail", sold around 2,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 6 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Chasing the Grail" was released on January 26 via Australia's Riot! Entertainment.
