FOZZY Frontman's XM Radio Show Cancelled

"The Rock of Jericho", FOZZY frontman (and former WWE wrestler) Chris Jericho's music show on XM Satellite Radio's heavy metal channel Da Boneyard (XM Channel 41), is being cancelled after two years "due to a change in the inner structure of XM," according to Jericho. Although the show's final installment was initially set to air on December 31, 2006, "The Rock of Jericho" has been "pulled for the final four shows," says Chris. "Last week was the final episode. I was told today that my last four shows were pulled due to my slamming of the Boneyard's playlist and my mocking of Oprah and Bob Dylan...the same shtick I've been doing for the last two years. I'm very disapointed about this as I've never missed one week of shows in the last 96 weeks of 'The Rock of Jericho' and I worked very hard to give you guys the best show I could. Not being able to say farewell in a proper manner is a bitter pill but that's the way it's going down. Thanks to XM for the opportunity. . . It's been a great two years and I've had a blast. . . I hope you've had twice as much fun listening to the shows as I did doing them. . . Please send comments to [email protected] and [email protected] if you have any."

Jericho recently signed a deal with Warner Publishing to release his memoirs in 2007. The book is tentatively titled "A Lion's Tale" and will focus primarily on the early days of his career (1990-1996). It will take a detailed look at the amazing adventures he experienced first while training in Western Canada and then while performing in Mexico, Japan, Germany and the southern United States.
