Former WHITE LION Drummer GREG D'ANGELO Joins THE GREG LEON INVASION

April 17, 2008

Legendary Southern California power trio THE GREG LEON INVASION, featuring vocalist/guitarist Greg Leon (ex-DOKKEN, QUIET RIOT) and bassist George Roelke (ex-SHOUT, BRAND NEW DAY),has been joined by powerhouse drummer Greg D'Angelo, a veteran of bands such as WHITE LION, ANTI PRODUCT and CITIES.

"I'm stoked to have found these guys I'm having a great time playing with Greg," states D'Angelo. "We have a lot of the same influences and mesh really well he's old school and just a great talent. I'm looking forward to making a great record with Greg and George and especially getting out there and playing the new stuff live."

THE GREG LEON INVASION's last album, "Unfinished Business", was released in 2005. The original INVASION formed out of the ashes of SUITE 19, featuring a pre-MTLEY CRE Tommy Lee on drums, and was one of the biggest draws on the L.A. scene in the '80s. The group's various incarnations saw musicians such as Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING),Jake E Lee (OZZY OSBOURNE, BADLANDS),Jeroen "Jeronimo" Bos (BODINE),and Carl Elizondo (SIN, JAG WIRE) pass through its ranks. The INVASION recorded a now highly collectable 7" single, "Every Time" b/w "Stay With Me Tonight", with Vera on bass in 1983, followed by a self-titled full-length album, released through Azra Records in 1984.
