Former UNBURIED Frontman Says Band Was 'Limiting And Restrictive'

April 15, 2007

Vocalist Justin Tombed, formerly of the St. Louis, Missouri-based extreme metal band UNBURIED, has issued the following statement regarding his departure from the group:

"In all honesty, I find myself relieved to be parting ways with the band. They are an excellent group of musicians. However, I found the group to be limiting and restrictive. I wish them the best of luck in overcoming the challenges that lay ahead of them."

In the meantime, Tombed plans on finishing up tracking for his CHAINSAW ABORTION and MISANTHROPIC recording projects. "I don't want to jump into another band right away at the moment," he explained. "So for the time being I plan on focusing on writing and recording various recording projects."

Both CHAINSAW ABORTION and MISANTHROPIC will be included on an upcoming split release, entitled "Industrial Strength Metal". The CD will be released via Asylum Recordings on June 5.
