Former TRIVIUM drummer Nick Augusto has thanked fans for their support following the announcement of his departure from the group, but has made it clear that the split was "not [his] decision."

TRIVIUM bassist Paolo Gregoletto released a statement yesterday (Wednesday, May 7) in which he stated about AugustoTwitter account earlier today, Nick said: "Thank you so much to all the fans, support throughout the years. This was not my decision but eternally grateful."

Stepping in for Augusto at TRIVIUM's current dates is the band's drum tech, Mat Madiro.

TRIVIUM's new album, "Vengeance Falls", made Top 10 chart debuts in Japan, Australia, Germany and Austria as well as a Top 15 debut in Canada and a Top 25 debut in the United Kingdom.
