Former THE HAUNTED Frontman PETER DOLVING Releases Debut Album From IAMFIRE

February 1, 2017

Danish-based stoner combo IAMFIRE, which features vocalist Peter Dolving (THE HAUNTED, MARY BEATS JANE, DRESS THE DEAD),bassist Mikael Ehlert (BLOOD EAGLE, HATESPHERE) and guitarist Peter Ahlers Ohlsen, has released its long-awaited debut album, "From Ashes". The eight-song effort was recorded in 2014 by IAMFIRE with Jacob Bredahl at Ark studio in Copenhagen, Denmark. The album was mixed by Jacob Bredahl at Dead Rat studio in 2015.

Comments the band: "Life is not always a day at the races. We are extremely pleased to have been able to see this through. We are still alive.

"Looking forward to playing some shows this summer, and seeing you folks out there in the coming year.

"'From Ashes' is a heavy intricate web of grooves and melodies. We mixed it so you can listen to it really loud.

"How to describe IAMFIRE? The mutant love child/offspring/consequence of SWANS, KYUSS, TOOL, THE CURE, BLACK SABBATH and THE BEATLES?

"Honestly? We're not trying to reinvent the wheel. We just want to play something we kinda miss in music. Does that make sense? It does to us.

"We are just as curious as the next guy to see how people are going to react to the album. If you like it, great; we have ourselves a party! We hope you enjoy it!"

The drums on "From Ashes" were laid down by Ulf Scott Hansen (L.O.C., SUSPEKT, GREAT DECEIVER).
