Former SLAYER Drummer Loses "Dear Friend"

Former SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph's drum tech Chris Lagerborg reportedly passed away last week due to an undisclosed ailment.

"I and a lot of other people lost a very dear friend this week," Bostaph wrote on the official web site of his current band, SYSTEMATIC. "Chris Lagerborg was my drum tech. Not only did he have a heart the size of Texas, he was as 'real' as it gets. I'll always remember his encouragements, the way he made me laugh and how much he pushed me as a drummer. His passing on in my opinion is a great loss to the music community and the drumming community.

"Bottom line, Chris, I'll miss you and am honored to be your friend."
