Former NIGHTWISH Singer ANETTE OLZON Welcomes Third Child

March 28, 2013

Former NIGHTWISH singer Anette Olzon and her boyfriend, PAIN bassist Johan Husgafvel, welcomed their second child, Mio, on Wednesday, March 27 at 10:19 a.m. He weighed in at 4.115 kilograms and measured 54 centimeters long.

Olzon and Husgafvel had their first child, a baby boy named Nemo, on July 30, 2010. Olzon also has an 11-year-old son, Seth, with her now-ex-husband.

Anette states: "Everything went OK and me and Mio are still at the hospital but Johan went home to be with Nemo tonight. Nemo met Mio tonight and he was so nice to him, giving him his pacifier, so he seem to be happy to meet Mio finally.

"I am aiming to go home tomorrow but let's see how we both feel. I had a big surgery so need to take it a bit easy but I am up and feeling OK."

Olzon abruptly left NIGHTWISH last September in the middle of the band's North American tour. She has since been replaced on the road by former AFTER FOREVER and current REVAMP singer Floor Jansen.

Anette joined NIGHTWISH in 2007 as the replacement for Tarja Turunen after the latter was fired in 2005.
