Former MEGADETH Guitarist MARTY FRIEDMAN To Perform At Korea's BUSAN ROCK FESTIVAL

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman will appear at the Busan Rock Festival, which is the largest annual music festival in Korea. On August 6, an expected audience of 50,000 will be able to see a rare live performance of Marty's solo music backed up by the following lineup:

Ryuichi Nishida (GACKT) - Drums
Masaki (ANIMETAL, CANTA) – Bass
Ron Jarzombek (WATCHTOWER) - guitar

A live DVD will be filmed at this event, with tons of new and very unique extras for Marty fans new and old alike. Ryuichi and Masaki had previously joined Marty in the studio during the recording sessions for his new solo album. Ron joined Marty on his most recent solo tour of the U.S.

As previously reported, Friedman will be joined by Pata from X JAPAN, Shinya from LUNA SEA, Crazy Cool Joe and D.I.E. for this summer's tour by Japanese pop singer Aikawa Nanase, dubbed "The Gig 2005" concert tour. Confirmed dates are as follows:

Jul. 03 - Nagoya, JPN @ E.L.L.
Jul. 05 - Osaka, JPN @ Big Cat
Jul. 07 - Tokyo, JPN @ Shibuya AX

Marty is back in Tokyo after a 10-city Asian tour, where he met and played for thousands of fans, and had the opportunity to jam with the best local players in many of the cities. The entire trek was captured on video, which should surface in DVD form by 2006.

In Tokyo, the recording of Marty's sixth solo album resumed last week as well as the taping of future episodes of "Hebimetasan", which can be seen every Tuesday night on Channel 12 at 1:00 a.m. Tokyo time.
