Former MEGADETH Guitarist JEFF YOUNG 'Sketching' Solo For SOULS ON 11 Track (Video)

December 27, 2010

Video footage of former MEGADETH guitarist Jeff Young "sketching the guitar solo" in the song "Come Closer" from SOULS ON 11, his new project with one of America's true organic voices, Schascle "Twinkle" Yochim, can be viewed below. Young states, "This is just a sketch of our work in progress. We enter the studio week three of January to record it for real."

SOULS ON 11 recently shot a video for its cover version of the AEROSMITH song "Seasons Of Wither" (from the 1974 "Get Your Wings" LP). The clip, which will premiere next month, was directed and edited by Evan Nesbitt ("X-Men", "Blade", "Three Kings", "Spiderman", "Godzilla", "The Perfect Storm", "The Event") during a live performance in Los Angeles. The video will also be available for sale on iTunes in the first quarter of 2011.

Young previously performed his remake of "Seasons Of Wither" with Twinkle on Sarasota, Florida radio station WSRQ.

The original radio broadcast happened on Saturday July 31, 2010 and you can hear this live recording now at this location.

An interesting side note to this track is that Twinkle actually opened for AEROSMITH in Tampa, Florida a few years ago.

"Seasons Of Wither" appears on Young's debut solo album, "Equilibrium", which came out last year. The CD was mixed by Michael Wagener (OZZY OSBOURNE, JANET JACKSON, METALLICA, QUEEN, KING'S X, SKID ROW, EXTREME).
