Former MARILYN MANSON Guitarist Lands GUITAR PLAYER Cover

September 21, 2004

Former MARILYN MANSON guitarist John Lowery (a.k.a. John 5) has made it to the cover of the November 2004 issue of Guitar Player magazine. "This is the first time John has appeared on this magazine's cover," reads a posting on the guitarist's web site. "It's been something that John has always wanted and it finally happened." John 5 is currently recording his new instrumental CD (due in 2005) and rehearsing with his band, LOSER.

Lowery issued a solo album, entitled "Vertigo", via Shrapnel Records last month. The CD leans on the "caustic and aggressive" side while also covering "a range of diverse music, far detached from MANSON's style, including bluegrass, jazz and classical," according to a press release.
