Former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY Guitarist Names New Project

May 15, 2003

Ex-MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader and his former MEDICATION bandmate Blunt have set IDOL-X as the name of their new collaborative project, which recently completed work on a four-song demo.

The complete track listing for the CD is as follows:

01. Wounded
02. Hold On
03. Home Again
04. Cold

According to the webmaster of Mader's official web site, www.loganmader.com, the music on the demo is "not hard rock by any means and it does not resemble Logan's previous band, MEDICATION. Logan performs vocals and the best adjective I would use to describe the music is 'melodic'."

In other news, Logan will reportedly be collaborating with the U.K. electronic band DRAWBACKS on an upcoming track in the near future. DRAWBACKS is the spin-off band of Tim and Dan Rayner, former touring guitarists for the now-defunct PITCHSHIFTER.

Also on the Mader front, the guitarist recently completed additional tracks for his electronic project BLUE, in which he performs vocals with Lati Grobman. Songtitles include "Moment in Time", "So Low", "Alone", "Soothe", "Open Up Your Mind", "Join the Party", and "A Place in France".
