Former BROKEN HOPE Guitarist: VADER's DOC Was 'One Of The Best Death Metal Drummers Ever'

August 21, 2005

Former BROKEN HOPE and current LUPARA guitarist Jeremy Wagner has issued the following statement regarding the passing of former VADER drummer Krzysztof "Docent" Raczkowski (a.k.a. Doc):

"Bummed out to hear about Doc passing away...especially at such an age as 35 (my age).

"The last time I saw Doc was at the Vic Theater in Chicago in October of 2003 when they were out with KREATOR and NILE... He was in great spirits and VADER put on an amazing set as always.

"VADER supported BROKEN HOPE when first headlined a tour of the United States and Doc gave our old drummer Ryan [Stanek] a run for his money every night. Aside from being an awesome musician, Doc always struck me as as a soft-spoken and cool guy to talk with.

"Shaun Glass [ex-BROKEN HOPE bassist, current SOIL guitarist] joined VADER on stage with some MONSTROSITY guys to do a CELTIC FROST cover as an encore at a few of the shows. It was cool to see Shaun banging out with Doc on stage.

"I told Shaun the news yesterday and he didn't believe me and thought it was quite sad. Shaun said that Doc was 'one of the best death metal drummers ever.' I agree.

"R.I.P., Doc."
