Former BLUE MURDER Bassist To Release Second Solo Album

August 19, 2003

Bassist extraordinaire Tony Franklin (BLUE MURDER, THE FIRM) will release his second solo album in Japan on August 21 through JVC Records. Titled "Wonderland", the CD features guest appearances by Franklin's former BLUE MURDER bandmate Carmine Appice (drums, ex-OZZY OSBOURNE, VANILLA FUDGE),Gregg Bissonette (DAVID LEE ROTH, JOE SATRIANI),and a rare vocal appearance by WHITESNAKE's David Coverdale. Other vocal duties are handled by Tony and hot newcomer Scott Kail.

"This is a lot heavier outing than my first album, 'Brave New Tomorrow'," says Tony, who once again handled the writing and production duties, as well as playing many of the instruments. "The bass is a lot more prominent, the songs flow well, and the performances are strong. I'm excited about this album". Click here for a peek at the cover. An international release date for "Wonderland" has yet to be announced.
