Former ALICE IN CHAINS Guitarist Jams With HEART In L.A.

August 3, 2004

Former ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell made a surprise appearance at the HEART concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (August 1). He joined in the encore on the HEART classic "Barracuda" and LED ZEPPELIN's "Misty Mountain Top".

In other news, the ALICE IN CHAINS classic "Man In The Box" is featured in the trailer for the new Tom Cruise film "Collateral".

Jerry is currently writing new music and is expected to go into the studio in the next few months to record the follow-up to his 2002 solo effort, "Degradation Trip". The as-yet-untitled CD is tentatively due in early 2005 through an as-yet-undetermined label.

CARDBOARD VAMPYRES, the new "covers" band featuring Cantrell, ex-THE CULT guitarist Billy Duffy and former MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman John Corabi, will be making the following live appearances during August/September:

Aug. 14 - Zoo Amphiteatre - Oklahoma City, OK (w/ ZZ TOP)
Sep. 11 - Carlos and Charlie's at Lake Travis - Austin, TX
