FLOTSAM AND JETSAM Drummer: New Songs Are '10 Times More Fresh Than Last 4 Records Combined'

July 6, 2008

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM drummer Craig Nielsen has issued the following update:

"All of the details have been sorted out and the band is extremely pumped and in peak form to begin our new studio record. We are very fortunate to be part of the Driven Music Group [the label created by Brian 'Head' Welch, a founding member, songwriter and guitarist from the multi-platinum rock band KORN] family and we look at this opportunity as a new beginning to reach new highs and more fans than ever. The label has been very interactive, accomodating and generous in their dealings with us so far and we feel part of something starting from the ground up, with nothing but promise and sincere commitment. The commitment this time goes very much right back from us to them. In addition to being on this new label, as you may have heard, this record, as with all Driven releases, will be given the full force and prestige of Warner Brothers distribution, as announced recently by the President and CEO of Warner Music Group himself. We simply couldn't ask for more. The songs are 10 times more fresh than the last four records combined. Challenging, fast, moody, melodic and powerful. Drums begin tracking on August 17. I will give an update on the process and any potential release dates as they materialize."

Metal Mind Productions released FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's new DVD, entitled "Once in a Deathtime", in Europe on June 16.
