FINNTROLL Pulls Out Of Serbia's LEGACY FESTIVAL

June 1, 2008

According to a posting on FINNTROLL's official web site, the Finnish band's appearance at Belgrade, Serbia's Legacy Festival which was scheduled for Saturday night (May 31) was cancelled at the last minute "due to some 'unfortunate events.'" The group writes, "We're freaking sorry, and next time... heh, well, what did your mother say? Don't trust anyone? Nah. Somebody fucked us up and here's the deal. And trust me, it's not fun to wake up for this, being already in Serbia 8:00 a.m. either we'd rather play a gig here than just get drunk."

As previously reported, FINNTROLL will film its September 20, 2008 concert at the Melkweg in Amsterdam, Holland for an upcoming DVD. More information will be made available soon.

FINNTROLL's fifth album, "Ur Jordens Djup", entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 91. The CD, which was recorded by Nino Laurenne at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki, is the group's first release with frontman Mathias Lillmns (a.k.a. Vreth) following the departure of Tapio Wilska (SETHIAN, ex-WIZZARD, former session vocalist for NIGHTWISH) in January 2006. Like FINNTROLL's original singer, Katla Mathias, Lillmns is reportedly Fenno-Swedish, with Swedish as his mother tongue.
