FEAR FACTORY To Enter Studio In Early May

April 24, 2005

Los Angeles-based metallers FEAR FACTORY will enter a North Hollywood, CA studio on May 5 with acclaimed producer Toby Wright (SLAYER, ALICE IN CHAINS, PRIMUS, SEVENDUST) to begin recording their new album, tentatively due early fall via Calvin Records. 3volution Productions hired Pierced Productions to shoot a multi-angle video of drummer Raymond Herrera's recording sessions for the album, to be included in a future product release.

FEAR FACTORY's latest CD, "Archetype", came out in April 2004 through Liquid 8 Records. The follow-up to 2001's critically panned "Digimortal" was recorded at Rumbo Recorders in Los Angeles with engineer Ken Marshall (SKINNY PUPPY) and was mixed in Vancouver with Greg Reely (MACHINE HEAD, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DEVILDRIVER).

In other news, FEAR FACTORY will be holding an in-store signing session on May 18 at the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in support of the new "Rainbow Six: Lockdown" game. Fans will also have the chance to play the new game against FEAR FACTORY. The signing will be held at the convention center in Los Angeles at the Ubi Soft booth beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The "Rainbow Six Lockdown" game and the "Rainbow Six Lockdown" soundtrack both feature two new FEAR FACTORY songs — an original song exclusively written for the game, plus a FEAR FACTORY-ized remake of the original "Rainbow Six" theme.
