FASTER PUSSYCAT's DANNY NORDAHL Says He Is 'Famous' For 'Getting Drunk And Falling Down'

April 21, 2014

On April 5, Heather Mae of Rock Titan conducted an interview with FASTER PUSSYCAT bassist Danny Nordahl and guitarist Ace Von Johnson. You can now watch the chat below.

On March 28, while appearing with his bandmates at 120 Tavern & Music Hall in Marietta, Georgia, Nordahl collapsed face first into the drum riser prior to the group's performance of its hit song "Bathroom Wall". He was carried off stage and his position was filled by bassist Andy Nader of the opening act RED LIGHT SAINTS.

FASTER PUSSYCAT vocalist Taime Downe appeared to be unfazed by the incident, telling the audience with a laugh, "Fucking rock 'n' roll! Classic! Somebody better have fucking got that on video, 'cause I want it. Every morning he will wake up to it... just on a repeat loop."

Video footage of the incident can be seen below (around one-minute, 30-second mark).

Nordahl has been a member of FASTER PUSSYCAT since 2001. Prior to joing the band, he performed with such groups as THE THROBS, N.Y. LOOSE and Downe's industrial project THE NEWLYDEADS.

FASTER PUSSYCAT, QUIET RIOT, BULLETBOYS and former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Gilby Clarke will join forces for the "Bang Your Head Tour" of North America this summer.

FASTER PUSSYCAT's first-ever live recording, "Front Row For The Donkey Show", was released in July 2009 on Full Effect Records. The CD featured classics such as "Babylon, Pornstar", "Bathroom Wall", "House Of Pain" and "Sex, Drugs & Rock N’ Roll".

FASTER PUSSYCAT's current lineup is as follows:

Taime Downe - Vocals
Ace Von Johnson - Guitar
Danny Nordahl - Bass
Xristian Simon - Guitar
Chad Stewart - Drums
