FASTER PUSSYCAT Featured In VH1's '100 Most Metal Moments'

May 28, 2004

'80s hard rockers FASTER PUSSYCAT are featured twice in "100 Most Metal Moments", a VH1 special focusing on the "entertaining (and sometimes shocking) moments" that defined heavy metal music's heyday. The interviews were done in Hollywood with FASTER PUSSYCAT singer Taime Downe, and at the Hard Rock hotel in Las Vegas with guitarist Brent Muscat last month. No. 98 in the countdown of "100 Most Metal Moments" focuses on Downe scratching his crotch with a fan's prosthetic arm, while No. 15 details a special drug delivery received by FASTER PUSSYCAT's drummer.

In other news, Strigl's Music News is reporting that six of the 100 moments featured in the special are about KISS, members of KISS or KISS products. Two of the six KISS-related moments have to do with former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley — one dealing with Ace's on-stage electrocution 1976 and the other focusing on his UFO encounter in 2002.

"100 Most Metal Moments" premieres on Monday, May 31 at 10:00 pm with the ultimate countdown of these outrageous hard rock moments in a five-night special. Narrated by the always outrageous Dee Snider (TWISTED SISTER),this special reveals who shredded a live chicken onstage, who won a gross out contest with Nikki Sixx and more in each one-hour episode.
