Fans Offered A Chance To Attend The Premiere Of The New LED ZEPPELIN DVD

May 8, 2003

Legendary rock band LED ZEPPELIN is teaming up with Loews Cineplex Entertainment and Premiere Radio Networks to celebrate the May 27 release date of the eagerly awaited, landmark live DVD and CD sets: "Led Zeppelin DVD" and "How The West Was Won".

On May 27, Loews will host a special premiere of "Led Zeppelin DVD" at Manhattan's Loews 34th Street Theatre. The red-carpet screening will feature two hours of rare and spectacular LED ZEPPELIN live concert footage — taken from the full five-hour DVD set, digitally restored and remixed in surround sound by Jimmy Page himself. The screening will be followed by an exclusive invitation-only VIP party, with members of LED ZEPPELIN in attendance.

Released by Atlantic Records, the 2-DVD and 3-CD sets mark the first-ever official release of these historic and extraordinary LED ZEPPELIN performances, which span the band's entire career. Long-rumored and eagerly anticipated, the sets each contain entirely different material, with no overlap between the two releases. With over 200 million albums sold worldwide, LED ZEPPELIN is the biggest-selling rock group in history.

A national contest via Clear Channel radio stations and websites will begin May 1. One winner plus three of his or her friends will get to attend a VIP screening and an exclusive VIP party with members of LED ZEPPELIN. Premiere Radio Networks, a subsidiary of Clear Channel, will broadcast a radio special in more than 125 markets (check local listings for dates and times.)

One additional screen at the theatre will be reserved for second-prize winners, who can win tickets by listening to Q104.3. Loews will also present premiere screenings in seven other cities at theatres including the Boston Common Theatre, Universal Theatre in Los Angeles, Metreon Theatre in San Francisco, the Rio in Maryland, Streets of Woodfield in Chicago, Roosevelt Field in Long Island and the Southfield in Detroit. These are tied to the local radio station affiliates in each city. Log onto Enjoytheshow.com or go to participating FYE retailers for more information.
