EYES OF FIRE Explain Show Cancellations

February 27, 2006

Orange County-based quintet EYES OF FIRE have posted the following message on their official web site:

"EYES OF FIRE would like to apologize to the fans in Kansas City, Denver, Ogden, and Boise, for not being able to perform those shows. EYES OF FIRE were unable to make those shows due to their trusty van not being so trusty. The morning after the Chicago Heights show, the band was on their way to Kansas City when the transmission blew on them. Thankfully they were not in the middle of nowhere and were still close enough to some family to have a cheap (free) place to stay until the repairs are made. At this time it looks as those will be the only shows missed. EYES OF FIRE are truly saddened and frustrated at their luck on this day. They will try to make up the shows as soon as they can. Thanks for your understanding."

EYES OF FIRE are touring in support of their sophomore release, "Prisons", which was issued earlier in the month. The CD was recorded at Grandmaster Recorders (TOOL, NINE INCH NAILS) with renowned producer Matt Bayles (MASTODON, ISIS). A video for the track "It All Dies Today" was shot by acclaimed director Gary Smithson (EXODUS, HIGH ON FIRE).
