EYES OF FIRE Embark On DANZIG Tour; Complete New Album

February 14, 2005

Orange County-based quintet EYES OF FIRE will embark on a U.S. tour alongside DANZIG, KATAKLYSM and TRIVIUM this week. The trek, which kicks off on Feb. 18 and runs through March 15, is the group's first official U.S. tour in support of "Ashes To Embers", their critically acclaimed debut album. EYES OF FIRE also just completed the recording process for their highly anticipated sophomore release, tentatively set for an early summer release.

Guitarist/vocalist Dan Kaufmann commented, "The new record is finally done and currently being mixed, and let me just say this is the heaviest thing we've done, as well as some of the prettiest shit too. Matt Bayles (MASTODON, ISIS, PEARL JAM) is a fucking god!!!! We threw so much at him, and he made a monster of a record. The first mix I heard of the song 'Blood' gave me chills. I immediately had to turn it off and walk back into the studio to praise the man. A million thanks goes out to him, and I really hope we get to work with him again in the future.

"Next on the list is to head to St. Louis to start the DANZIG tour. We just got a new van and are ready to head out and play our asses off before the new record comes out. We are very excited and honored to be doing this tour. DANZIG is a legend and no one can deny that. We can't wait to get out there and meet everyone who's been supporting us thus far and hopefully get some new disciples along the way. Come out early to the show because we are the openers and we hope to see y'all out there on the road."
