EXMORTEM Complete Filming Of New Video

December 23, 2004

In a break from preparations for their January 2005 tour of the U.K. with BEHEMOTH, Danish death metallers EXMORTEM have completed the filming for a new promo video for the song "Bitter Disciplin", taken from the forthcoming "Nihilistic Contentment" album. Speaking straight after the shoot, guitarist Sigtyr was enthused by what the band had achieved with the filming:

"Hey all, the video shot went fucking great!!! I still can't believe what we did yesterday/last night, it was the most crazy/fucked up far out shit I've been involved in for a long time…!! We worked for 24 hours straight...got home at 7:00 this morning! And all the time it was freezing! There was no heat in these abandoned buildings!

"We had found four locations at this old cement factory (abandoned for 15 years or so…) and the first location where we wanted to shot the whole band was in this fucking huge silo. We had to carry all the equipment up this very small staircase (outside the silo) up on what must have been fifth/sixth floor… But we managed to get it all up and when we put up lights, smoke machine etc. inside it just looked so damn cool! A huge dome of destruction!"

The video itself should be ready just in advance of the album's release on January 17, with the U.K. touring running from January 13 to January 22.

Asked to sum up the way the clip will look, Sigtyr claimed "... somehow I think that it has this 'Alien' (the movie) look/feeling to it...?! Very cold and obscure!"
