November 6, 2011

Acclaimed hard rock and heavy metal drummer John Macaluso (JAMES LABRIE, ARK, TNT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, RIOT, STARBREAKER, HOLYHELL) recently shared his experience and drum knowledge with The Drum Brother. Check out the footage below.

Macaluso, 43, was born in Commack, New York and started playing drums at age 11.

Legendary Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen tapped Macaluso in 1999 for a three-year tour of duty, where John became the only drummer to ever solo on a Malmsteen album ("Alchemy").

Having recorded over 200 albums and taken part in multiple world tours, John continues to write and record music, perform live, do clinics and teach.
