Ex-THE ALMIGHTY Frontman RICKY WARWICK Announces More Guest Appearances For Solo Album

November 5, 2004

Former THE ALMIGHTY frontman Ricky Warwick has revealed in a posting on his web stie that his upcoming follow-up album to "Tattoos and Alibis" will feature a guest appearance by his former (SIC) bandmate Ciaran McGoldrick on bass. The CD, which is being recorded at Joe Elliott's (DEF LEPPARD) Joe's Garage studio in Dublin, will also include a guest appearance by DEF LEPPARD lead guitarist Vivian Campbell.

With regards to the upcoming CD, Warwick wrote on his web site, "The album has a kinda thread running through it. A lot of the songs are about running away from places, people, feelings, myself, or a past something I feel I have been doing for a long time. I've also done alot of driving across America in the last two years, so I suppose a lot of ideas have come from there. There is also stuff about Belfast and Ireland — just how I have seen it change over the years. I used to be very interested in politics, but the world being the way it is, unfortunately, I don't see a leader who inspires any belief in me. So, for anyone interested... my political beliefs are something like this: When you're in a state about nothing vote for nobody 'coz you know it makes sense, 'coz nobody can do for you what you should be doing for yourself!!"
